Broadcasts

A broadcast puts a message banner on the wallboard boards: on every TV showing them and in Flex. Use it for floor-wide notices: an outage, a change of procedure, a team meeting.

Send a broadcast​

  1. Choose Broadcast in the console toolbar.
  2. Write the message (up to 200 characters).
  3. Pick the boards. All boards are selected to start with.
  4. Pick the level: info, warning or critical. The level sets the banner's colour.
  5. Pick Hide after: 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or Until cleared.
  6. Send.

TVs show the banner on their next poll, within about 5 seconds. Each board gets its own audit entry, visible in the Activity log.

Change or clear a banner​

A board has one banner at a time; a new broadcast replaces the current one. To clear a banner before it expires, open the board in the TV boards section (or the wallboard view) and clear its broadcast there. See Broadcast banners.

The TV boards section​

When the wallboard feature is enabled, the console has a TV boards section next to Live console. It is the full wallboard view: the boards, the editor, TV links, Present mode and per-board broadcasts. The console stops refreshing while TV boards is open, and resumes when you switch back.
